Last weekend we made a trip to visit Tammy’s mother and step-father who recently moved to Charlotte, NC. As I have come to expect with any trip to see Tammy’s mom the weekend was action-packed with lots of activities and fun. On Saturday we went to see Tammy’s mom’s new horse, Spyder, and watch her riding lesson. Of course I took a little time to wander around the grounds of the stables and take a few photos.
This is Tammy’s mom, Vicki, on her new horse Spyder during her riding lesson and monochrome of a tree that I stumbled upon on the grounds of the farm.
Sunday’s weather was less-than-perfect, but we took a quick trip of historical interest to the Latta Plantation which is a preserved colonial plantation in Huntersville, NC. This is not something I would think to do, but it was interesting to see.
These are some photos of the Latta Plantation. The first is of the plantation house, the second is of two of the separate smaller houses just adjacent to the main house, and the last two are of the barn area.
The weekend ended with a nice lunch in Charlotte and then a flight home to Boston. Now we are getting ready for our next big adventure.
Thanks for stopping by. Come again soon. If you would like to receive an email when I post new photos and/or blog entries head on over to the subscribe page and enter your email.

Nice compositions. I like the one point perspective on the separate small houses.
